Volunteer for Coborn Cancer Center and Coborn Healing Center

Volunteers provide more than just time and energy. They offer support, courage, solace and joy to our patients, their loved ones, and our staff, in their own unique way.

Volunteers play soothing, tranquil music in the lobby, serve in Administration, Animal-Assisted Therapy, Enhancement Program, Healing Touch, Infusion Center, Pharmacy, Support, Survivorship and more. Community volunteers use their talents to craft in-kind gifts for patients including hats, scarves, blankets, shawls, pillows, fabric bags, seatbelt cushions, cancer treatment care packs and more.

Make a gift

Donations to CentraCare Health Foundation allow Coborn Cancer Center to offer access to resources that enhance quality of life for wellness of mind, body and spirit for every patient and their family to:

• Support clinical trials and research studies that focus on people diagnosed with cancer
• Deliver programming for patients and families in a supportive setting
• Offer specialty care items that maintain dignity and modesty
• Provide quality resources for side effects and symptom management including:
  - Enhancement Program – one-on-one consultation with a licensed cosmetologist for individualized fitting of a wig, hat and accessories at no charge
  - Expressive Arts - healthy outlet for expressing feelings and decreasing anxiety through art
  - Integrative Therapy - Acupuncture, Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Healing Touch
  - Nutrition Counseling - one-on-one nutrition consultations with a registered dietitian
  - Oncology Rehabilitation - wide range of therapies designed to help build strength and endurance, regain independence, reduce stress and maintain the energy needed to participate in daily activities 
• Help reduce financial stress
• Expand cancer screening and community outreach efforts such as Drive-Through Colon Cancer Screening (March), Prostate Cancer Screening Night (September) and more
