Baked Apple Topping

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried cranberries   
  • 1-1/4 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar   
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon  
  • 6 apples, cored and chopped (about 3 pounds)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large microwave-safe dish. Microwave at HIGH 20 minutes or until apples are soft, stirring occasionally.  

Makes 6 cups (serving size = 1/4 cup).
