Research & Clinical Trials - Coborn Cancer Center

Cancer clinical trials are research studies that focus on people diagnosed with cancer. The goal of these studies is to find better ways to treat, diagnose, and prevent cancer so that people can live better and longer. The studies also give us more information about preventing or reducing cancer risk in healthy people. Coborn Cancer Center supports and participates in many clinical research trials.

Participants in clinical trials receive the highest standard of care. Cancer clinical trials are approved by the National Cancer Institute. Patients volunteer to take part in clinical trials for a number of reasons, but most hope they will help themselves today and others in the future.

Coborn Cancer Center undergoes rigorous review from the National Cancer Institute to ensure the highest standards of care and treatment. St. Cloud Hospital also has its own Institutional Review Board to approve all trials.

Coborn Cancer Center participates in research studies through the Cancer Trial Support Unit (CTSU), a service of the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
