At St. Cloud Hospital, we have a diverse medical staff both professionally and culturally. New providers benefit from seasoned mentors who are happy to assist a new provider to grow and develop their practice. In addition, CentraCare Health physicians participate in a variety of programs that offer everything from educational opportunities for students to free health screenings and care for the under-served population of Central Minnesota.
St. Cloud hospital operates a Family Practice Residency Program affiliated with the University of Minnesota. The program, entering its third decade, is St. Cloud Hospital’s only residency program and is a 5/5/5 three-year residency in Family Medicine. The program's academic sponsor is the University of Minnesota and we are fully accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Academic positions are available for physicians interested in teaching opportunities.
CentraCare Health runs Project H.E.A.L. (Health, Education, Access, Link), an outreach program of CentraCare Family Health Center that offers free health screenings and basic care at various local locations including shelters, places of worship and schools. The goal of Project H.E.A.L. is to overcome the barriers to health care – barriers of transportation, inadequate or lack of insurance, financial resources for co-payments and medications, language and culture.
