Q: Who can use CentraCare eClinic?
Dr. Rolph: Clinicians can diagnose, recommend treatment and prescribe medication for all adults and children age 2 and older.
Anyone over 18 can create an eClinic account. You also can add adult dependents and minor children to your account. Visits for minor children must be completed by a parent.
Q: How does one started an eClinic visit?
Dr. Rolph: You start with an eClinic visit application, which takes about five minutes to complete. The total number of questions you answer will depend on your condition.
Q: What are the different visit options through eClinic? How long will I need to wait for a response?
Dr. Rolph: There are three options: online interviews, phone visits and video visits.
With an online interview, you answer a series of questions about how you are feeling and the symptoms you are experiencing. After you submit your answers, a clinician will review them and respond to you within 60 minutes.
With a phone or video visit, you answer a few questions about how you are feeling and the symptoms you are experiencing. After you submit your answers, you'll be connected to a clinician via the phone or through video chat.
Q: How much does an eClinic visit cost?
Dr. Rolph: Online interviews are $25. Phone and video visits are $45 — similar to an insurance co-pay. You can pay with a credit card or a health savings account (HSA) card. Depending on your employer or insurance, CentraCare eClinic may be provided at a reduced rate. Check with your employer to see if you qualify.
You may submit your receipt to your insurance company, but we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed.
Medicare patients are welcome to use CentraCare eClinic; however, your eClinic visit is not currently reimbursable.
Q: What if you can't provide a diagnosis?
Dr. Rolph: We do our best to treat you online, but not every condition can be treated via CentraCare eClinic. If your health concern cannot be addressed through CentraCare eClinic, you may be directed to a clinic for care. If this is the case, you will not be charged for your eClinic visit.
Q: How can I access CentraCare eClinic?
Dr. Rolph: You can access CentraCare eClinic from any web-enabled device — smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. Most people are able to complete their visit from a smartphone.
Q: What browsers are supported by eClinic?
Dr. Rolph: CentraCare eClinic requires you to use a modern browser to ensure your data is secure and for a good viewing experience. You can use any of the following browsers for your eClinic visit: Internet Explorer 11 or newer, Chrome or Firefox. If you don't have one of these browsers, you can download Chrome or Firefox for free.
