New providers join CentraCare Health – Melrose

CentraCare Health – Melrose welcomes Elaine Thelen, DNP and Jennifer Tomford, to its medical staff.

Jennifer Tomford, DNP, is a certified nurse practitioner who began a new role as a provider and has been employed by CentraCare for 18 years, serving in a variety of roles.

She received her doctorate of nursing practice from the College of St. Scholastica in May 2018 and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine.

A native of Melrose, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and being outside, especially around a lake or beach. She also is a sports fan with a particular love of the Minnesota Vikings.

Elaine Thelen, a certified nurse practitioner, joined CentraCare Health – Melrose in September.

She received her doctorate of nursing practice from the College of St. Scholastica in May 2018 and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to coming to Melrose, Elaine worked at the Albany Hospital and St. Gabriel’s in Little Falls. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine and will strive to treat each patient through a holistic, patient-centered approach.

A native of Avon, Elaine, her husband and three children now live on a small hobby farm. She also enjoys woodworking, crafts, reading and gardening.
