Dr. Patrick Zook receives 2018 Caduceus award
CentraCare Clinic family physician, Patrick Zook, MD, was honored in February with the Caduceus Award. This annual award, presented by the Caduceus Society, recognizes the outstanding work of Central Minnesota physicians who exhibit humanitarian medical efforts locally or around the world.
He was a family physician at the St. Cloud Medical Group for over 30 years and retired in November 2017. Even in retirement he continues to be committed to his patients, clinic and health care in our community.
According to CentraCare Health Foundation Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Health Brad Konkler, “Dr. Zook embodies our CentraCare Health mission to provide quality care close to home. He is a caring doctor, a dedicated leader and a respected mentor. We are proud to present this award to him.”
He has served as the Chief of Staff at the St. Cloud Hospital, and has been a member of the Credentials Committee, Board of Trustees and was a leader of the Stearns-Benton Medical Society.
In 2015, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Medical Association for his dedicated leadership for medicine in the state of Minnesota. He continues to stay active and involved in his community — he has volunteered regularly at the Salvation Army and continues to work diligently to create a dementia resource center and making St. Cloud a “dementia friendly city.”
