Coborn Healing Center Receives Donation from MN Limited’s 2017 Charity Golf Outing

Minnesota Limited, one of the largest pipeline transmission contractors, held a charity golf outing at Pebble Creek Golf Course to help raise money and breast cancer awareness. Minnesota Limited gave a generous donation of $32,285.00 to CentraCare Health’s new Coborn Healing Center.

The Coborn Healing Center, adjacent to the Coborn Cancer Center, will act as a community resource center for cancer treatment in the region. The dedicated educational space will allow us to provide information to the community on various cancers in terms of prevention and raising awareness. This will be a resource for patients before, during and after treatment.

The Coborn Healing Center will provide a space for:

  • A vast array of services under one roof to target the needs of our patients. By customizing patient experience to patient needs, we can impact physical symptoms of side effects experienced during and after treatment.
  • Integrative Therapies such as: acupuncture, aromatherapy, acupressure, healing touch, massage therapy and animal-assisted therapy. These supported measures help control symptoms, enhance well-being and contribute to overall patient care.
  • Support groups. Research shows that joining a support group improves both quality of life and survival.
  • Community outreach in the form of prevention and screening programs. The programs will create engaged partners and community members to make more informed choices about their personal health care.
