Immigrant Employment Connection Group receives Spirit of Caring Award

The CentraCare Health Foundation Grants Committee selected the Immigrant Employment Connection Group (IECG) as the 2016 recipient of the Spirit of Caring Award. 

A group of community leaders saw a need to help the East African population find jobs in early 2015; therefore, they formed the IECG to host a job fair for these new Americans. The IECG’s focus is to educate employers and assist them in overcoming barriers that are real or perceived when hiring the immigrant population.

The Immigrant Employment Connection Group will receive $5,000 to go towards continuing efforts to find jobs for immigrants.
