CentraCare Pediatrician receives Distinguished Service Award from MN-AAP
CentraCare Clinic Pediatrician Marilyn Peitso, MD, FAAP, was honored with the 2016 Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MN-AAP).
This annual award recognizes pediatricians who have dedicated their lives to improving care for children throughout Minnesota.
Dr. Peitso has been a pediatrician for more than 30 years. She joined CentraCare Clinic in 1991 and is a past-president of the MN-AAP, and currently serves on the Minnesota Medical Association Board of Trustees and MMA Foundation Board. For the past decade, Dr. Peitso has been involved in quality improvement efforts for primary care, pioneering the development of Medical Homes for children with special health care needs at the local, state, and national levels. She has worked for continuous quality improvement for primary care clinics, collaborating with state agencies, payers, and community advocacy groups.
