CentraCare Health Earns Patient Safety Excellence Awards

Three CentraCare Health facilities are recognized for their performance in the Partnership for Patients campaign and have earned a Minnesota Hospital Association Patient Safety Excellence Award.

The facilities receiving this award are as follows: CentraCare Health – Melrose, CentraCare Health – Paynesville and CentraCare Health – Monticello. CentraCare Health – Sauk Centre received the award in 2013.

Partnership for Patients is a nationwide collaboration to reduce preventable hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent and 30-day readmissions by 20 percent.

This award indicates the facility has reached benchmark on six or more topics, in addition to meeting all of the leadership criteria and three or more of the patient and family engagement criteria. It acknowledges the hard work and resources being devoted by hospitals to improve patient safety.

CentraCare Health is recognized for its RARE (reducing avoidable readmissions) campaign, the implementation of hard-stop policies to prevent early elective deliveries and for addressing the culture initiative.
