CentraCare Health – Monticello Hosts Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Pediatric Emergency Education

CentraCare Health – Monticello partnered with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota to host a pediatric emergency simulation course. Physicians, nurses, and staff from CentraCare Health – Monticello, St. Cloud Hospital, FirstLight Health System, and Cambridge Medical Center received hands-on training, using high – tech manikins to educate staff about pediatric and neonatal emergency situations.

“We are proud to be a part of this important training provided by Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota,” said Hannah Whalen, RN, Birth Center Manager at CentraCare Health – Monticello. “We strive to provide the best care for patients through continuous education on the latest technology and medical techniques. The goal of this training was to improve recognition of deteriorating patient conditions, identify the skills necessary to respond to critical medical events and improve the utilization of teamwork in critical moments. By working together as a team, we are able to streamline our processes and enhance the care we deliver to our patients.”

By hosting education events, CentraCare Health – Monticello demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement to support the health of patients in our community.
