CentraCare Health – Monticello Hosts Annual Diabetes Health Fair

CentraCare Health - Monticello is hosting its annual Diabetes Health Fair for the community on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 3 – 6 p.m. in the lower level of the hospital. This free event features blood pressure checks and glucose screenings; tips for healthy food choices; and interactive education on diabetes products, technology, resources and treatments.

“The Diabetes Health Fair is an important event because it offers the community a free opportunity to come and learn about what diabetes is while also hearing about some of the products, medications, and services that are available to help treat and prevent complications of diabetes,” said Cortney Steen, RN, BSN, Diabetes Nurse Specialist at CentraCare Health – Monticello. “The diabetes health fair also offers a variety of topics for those managing their diabetes along with free screenings and the opportunity to meet with health care providers in an informal and comfortable setting. The event is a great opportunity to help empower individuals and families to take charge of their health.”
