Ostomy Services
St. Cloud Hospital offers a full range of ostomy services. Specially trained Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) nurses provide care for patients at the Ostomy Services Clinic located at St. Cloud Hospital.
Services include:
- Stoma site selection and marking
- Pouch fitting for difficult stomas
- Pre and post-operative management and education
- Treatment of parastomal skin conditions
- Product selection
Appointments
Appointments are set by the WOC nurses. For an appointment, call St. Cloud Hospital at 320-251-2700, ext. 53429.
If there is no answer, leave a message and your call will be returned either the same day or the next day (weekdays only).
The WOC nurse hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are two ostomy clinic days that usually take place the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. However, patients can be seen other days of the week if time allows.
Location
The ostomy clinic is located on the Surgical One Unit (4th floor) at St. Cloud Hospital. Please park in the North parking lot/ramp and enter the hospital through the North entrance (revolving door). After checking in at the registration desk, you will be escorted by a volunteer to the ostomy clinic.
Insurance Coverage
Medicare, Medicaid and most health insurances cover ostomy services, but this cannot be guaranteed with every patient. Please check with your insurance provider to determine coverage.
