Coping with Cancer as a Family: A program for children of adult cancer patients
We recognize the whole family is affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our Coping with Cancer as a Family program is designed to help adult cancer patients and their children develop communication and coping strategies to face cancer together.
Adults (parents, grandparents, significant others) will learn how to communicate with children in age appropriate ways about cancer.
Children will tour Coborn Cancer Center and participate in activities to develop coping strategies to confront and manage the feelings that may come from having a parent, family member or loved one with cancer.
