CentraCare Health – Long Prairie offers one day, all-inclusive Childbirth Education courses for expectant mothers and their labor support persons to learn about pregnancy, labor and delivery. Relaxation techniques, coping strategies and pain management are discussed so that the expectant mother can prepare and play an active role in the birth of her child. The course covers preterm birth, vaginal birth after cesarean birth, water birth, cesarean birth, hospital routines, techniques and more.

The numerous benefits, along with tips and techniques of successful breastfeeding, and returning to work as a breastfeeding mother will complete the course.

Lunch will be served as part of the program.

Please use the Medical Campus front entrance, 50 CentraCare Drive, Long Prairie. Classes are held in the Monson and Swenson rooms.
