CentraCare Health Announces Executive’s Retirement

St. Cloud, Minn. – Jim Davis, CentraCare Health’s vice president - Corporate Services, will retire Dec. 31. Davis joined St. Cloud Hospital in 1989 as director of Outreach Services. He was promoted to a vice presidency Jan. 1, 1992. As such, Davis was responsible for an array of St. Cloud Hospital programs and services, including the family medicine residency program, emergency trauma services and facility development. Davis became a CentraCare Health vice president as he took over responsibility for the CentraCare Health Plaza, the CentraCare Surgery Center at the Health Plaza, and CentraCare’s retail pharmacies and clinical laboratories, as well as communications and marketing, government and community relations and strategic planning. He also was responsible for CentraCare’s hospitals in regional communities, which grew from one in 1995 to five in 2013.

The St. Cloud Hospital portion of Davis’ job has been assumed by Kurt Otto, who was named a vice president in 2012. Joe Hellie has begun transitioning into the role of CentraCare Health’s vice president of Strategy and Network Development, responsible for strategic planning, communications and marketing, and government and community relations, among other duties. St. Cloud Hospital President Craig Broman will take on the additional responsibility of the regional hospitals Jan. 1.

CentraCare Health operates St. Cloud Hospital, numerous CentraCare Clinic sites in communities throughout Central Minnesota, nine regional dialysis sites, St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud and Monticello and the hospitals and long-term care facilities in Melrose, Long Prairie, Sauk Centre, Monticello and Paynesville.
